We are pleased to announce the winner of the inaugural Competition which took place on the 27th of September at San Jose Lawn Bowl Club was Sandy Sumano…

We are proud to announce that Sandy Sumano who was representing Saint Andrews Society San Francisco has won the inaugural BAttle of the Clans.

Sandy came second in the tie break, which edged out San Jose President Marge to give her the title, but the surprise is this was Sandy’s first game!

Clan Cunningham was well represented and won the Clan team award, with all the teams requiring their veterans to play alongside complete novices.

The top place competitors from left to right are James English, Marge Ling, Derek Cunningham, Tom Cunningham, and Glen Casados, with Sandy Sumano holding the trophy centre front.

And we cannot end without thanking the fantastic hosts, San Jose Lawn Bowling Club, for opening their doors to us. If you are in the area we encourage you to drop in and say hi!
