The Battle of The Clan was created by Clan Cunningham to generate a fun alternative to the Highland Games. Knowing that most can never dream of competing in the strength games, we wanted to create games that the whole family could take part in. From courtyards to national stadiums, Lawn Bowls, and Football generate almost endless possibilities with flexible game variations that permit the over hundreds amongst us to get out and meet dear friends, to small five-a-sides that allow 4 year olds to learn the fun of scoring a winning goal, all under the unique banner of competing for your clan.
As a registered charity, our responsibility is primarily teaching Scottish culture and history, and no history is complete without knowing how people relaxed and enjoyed themselves. All charitable donations to the The Battle of the Clans website will be used to aid sports with a Scottish heritage (such as Curling, Lawn Bowls, Football and Golf) and to improve access to sport facilities. So, get together a team, drop us a line and we will put you in touch with local clubs where we can arrange a friendly battle amongst the rival clans.
